Welcome to the world of Babalu'Art!

Where each piece is unique, colorful, and lovingly created. Come browse the gallery and enjoy the original designs. Each piece starts as a large sheet of fusible glass that is cut into shapes, decorated with powdered glass paints, frit, or other forms of glass, and then fused together.   I use every scrap of glass, nothing is wasted.  I recycle materials everywhere I can, repurposing things I find, fusing pieces into something different, and thinking about designs with items I already have in my workshop.  I find doing this really gives each piece its own personality, I enjoy letting pieces take on a life of their own, far from what I had planned for it in the beginning.  After cooling in the kiln I polish, add the appropriate hanger, and sign each piece.   You are always guaranteed an original, unique as you are!
